First of all I wanted to say a big thank you to you all for your patience and support as my clinics have gradually re-opened. The look of the treatment has changed a little, along with so many of our other shared experiences at the moment, but the essence of this form of medicine remains the same.
In line with government policy and British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) guidelines, I’ve introduced a number of important protocols, and I just wanted to set out what these are so that you know what to expect when you come for a treatment. You can read the details here.
Find out how acupuncture can help you
I have been an acupuncturist in Bath for over 20 years and practice an integrated style of traditional Chinese and Five Element acupuncture. I have developed particular areas of interest and expertise over the years but the strength of Chinese medicine is that it focuses on you as an individual, not just your symptoms or disease label. Every treatment is unique and tailored to your needs.
My aim is to create a calm and positive environment in which there is space to talk and be heard. There is time to explore root causes and find a healing formula unique to you. Knowledge is shared to encourage a collaborative approach, speed up progress and ensure lasting results.
“I have always found Barbara to be extremely professional, but at the same time very approachable and understanding with a warm and sympathetic manner. She is always very willing to discuss new approaches to treatment and offers advice on pain management and ways to take responsibility for managing conditions yourself in between treatments. I have no hesitation in recommending Barbara.”
“Barbara has helped me greatly over the years, particularly when my energy has been at its lowest. I have always enjoyed the visits and Barbara’s calm and measured approach has given me mental and physical benefits over sustained periods of time. She will make you feel at ease, particularly if you are anxious about the treatment which, by the way, is mostly painless! “
